IMAGE SYSTEM MODULAR JETTED TUB CONTROLS

Sequence Controls offers the most comprehensive line of controls and options for the jetted tub market.  Our Image Control system is one of the most reliable and flexible control system ever offered in the jetted tub market.  Its modular design allows you to configure a system to obtain the best cost/feature ratio possible.

The Image System is capable of controlling:

•  Single, two speed, three speed and variable speed pumps
•  Blowers
•  Simple, sophisticated and multiple displays
•  Solenoids
•  Lights
•  Other accessories requiring an electrical load
•  Water temperature measurement
•  Water level detection

The ease of servicing and the reduced inventory also plays a pivotal role in making this system the most advanced platform available today.  All Image products are available in both 120 and 240 volt models.

The added benefit of front removable electronics on all of the displays, fully encapsulated and/or coated electronics on all modules and enhanced serviceability of the NEMA modules will reduce cost associated with servicing and replacement of units.

The Image family of Sequence electronic products is covered by a five year manufacturing defect warranty.

I.  IMAGE SYSTEM CONTROLLERS

All Image controllers share the following features:

•  IR communications between control modules
•  Module to display interconnections with secured gas-tight Mini-DIN connectors
•  UL and/or CSA approved to 15 Amps at 50°C ambient
•  Operates single or variable speed loads
•  Optional NEMA line and load connectors
•  Conformally coated electronics on modules
•  Fully encapsulated electronics on displays
•  Retaining clips to prevent cables from disconnecting in transit or installation

a.  Image Main Controller: IMC-213

The IMC (unit at right in the above photo) is the nucleus of the Image system and offers the following features:

•  Operation of pumps, blowers, solenoids, lights and other accessories
•  Includes outlet for LED light
•  Connects to integrated temperature and water detect sensor (ITW)
•  Interlocking interface with other modules
•  Retaining clips to prevent cables from disconnecting in transit or installation

b.  Image Auxiliary Unit: IAU-214

The IAU (unit at left in the above photo) controls auxiliary loads such as pumps and blowers, operated by the Image system and offers the following features:

•  Up to four IAU modules per system
•  Interlocking interface with other modules

c.  Image Three Speed Pump Controller: IMC-266

The IMC-266 module is the Image system three speed pump control.  It also accommodates white and color lights, tub water temperature measurement and water level detection.  Two IMC-266 can be used in one system with other Image modules to create custom configurations.

d.  Image Solenoid Driver: ISD-237

The ISD is an integrated pump/solenoid controller and can either be added into any Image system configuration for the control of neck-jet, back-jet, re-circulation or other functions and can also operate in standalone mode controlling all of the same functions.  The main features of the ISD are:

•  Four independent solenoid outputs which can control up to four standard
   24VAC solenoids or six low power solenoids
   (Sequence SOL-xxx series with two outputs wired in parallel)
•  Customer-specific software determines solenoid functionality
•  Also controls a single 120VAC, max 15 Amp load
•  Compatible with all Image Displays
•  IR communications with other Image modules
•  Solenoid wiring length easily adjustable by installer
•  Interlocking interface with other modules
•  Retaining clips to prevent cables from disconnecting in transit or installation

e.  Image Single Speed Controller: IMC-263

The IMC-263 module is the Image System stand-alone primary load control device, designed to operate a single speed load (pump or blower).  It also accommodates white and color lights and conductive water level detection.

II.  TEMPERATURE/WATER DETECTION

The ITW, patented by Sequence Controls, combines the temperature and water detect functions in one device and offers the following features:

•  Capacitive water detection
•  Patented "through the tub wall" temperature measurement
•  Optional conductive water detection capability for use with blower dry cycles
   or other specialized functions
•  Lower installation cost, no special fittings or holes to drill
•  Ease of service, only need to glue new unit in place

Conductive Water Detect – In addition to the ITW-209, the ISD-237 and IMC-263 modules support conductive water detection.

b.  Image Conductive Water Detection Kits: CBL-128 & CBL-238

CBL-128 Image Conductive Water Detection Kit:  When CBL-128 is connected to an ITW-209 Image Temperature and Water Detector it provides the ITW-209 with both capacitive and conductive water detection.

CBL-238 Image Conductive Water Detection Kit:  When CBL-238 is connected to an IMC-237 Controller, or an IMC-263 Controller it provides the controller with conductive water detection.

III.  IMAGE SYSTEM DISPLAYS

Sequence offers a range of displays from the basic LED version to "all singing, all dancing".  All the Image displays offer the following features:

•  100% waterproof with silicone encapsulated electronics
•  Re-programmable through mini-DIN connector (no outdated inventory!)
•  Front removable for ease of service
•  Interchangeable trim rings on all displays
•  User-defined control modes saved in memory
•  User-selectable configurations
•  Optional backlit buttons (IDU-215 only)

IV.  IMAGE SYSTEM LIGHTS

Sequence offers a choice of white and color LED lighting options.  The Sequence lights have the unique feature of providing their status to the displays.  This allows the user to "store" their preferred color and be truly synchronized.  Another feature unique to Sequence in our wide range of lights are versions which use of Sequence's trim flush mount housing or use the commonly available removable front lens unit.  When using multiple lights, a daisy chain wiring approach is used, wiring one light to the other.

These LED lights offer two mounting styles.  The ICL-239 mounts in a 1.65" (4.2cm) opening and offers a very low tub profile.  The ICL-244 is the light assembly only and fits in a front-serviceable light housing.  Both color lights offer the following features:

•  All colors of the rainbow spectrum available
•  Customer-specific color programs
•  Up to four lights controlled by one IMC or ISD
•  Full color synchronization for up to four lights
•  Storage of user color selections in Image displays
•  LEDs provide thousands of hours of use

VI.  SUGGESTED IMAGE SYSTEM CONFIGURATIONS

Here are several suggested product configurations.  By changing some of them slightly, several new features can be added for minimal cost.  Some of these are shown as alternates and options in the details of the configurations below.

SYSTEM #1: MID-RANGE WHIRLPOOL

Proposal A

•  IDU-252 Round display, 2” (5.1cm) diameter, 4 buttons, 4 LED’s, clear housing
